We Care Arts Celebrating Generous Grants

For Immediate Release

Dayton, Ohio – January 3, 2025 – We Care Arts is thrilled to announce the receipt of generous grants from the Tipp City Foundation, totaling $6,226.53, to support and continue our Transition to Work classroom programming in high schools throughout Miami County.

The Tipp City Foundation has graciously awarded We Care Arts $5,226.53 from the William’s Gift Fund. Additionally, the Robinson-Walters Family Fund has provided supplementary support to round out this funding request. We are deeply grateful for these contributions, which will enable us to enhance our educational curricula and provide essential resources to our students.

Transition To Work (TTW) programs are in-school programs established by the state. Special needs teachers provide instruction for students between the ages of 16 and 22 to prepare them for employment and a level of independent living after graduation from high school. We Care Arts supplements their experience by providing weekly art classes that reinforce crucial life and job skills at no cost to the student, school, or district. WCA provides individual bags with all needed art supplies for all projects for each student in the class as well as the teacher bag. There are also corresponding YouTube instructional video links provided for each of the art projects in each kit. WCA currently serves twenty-one schools in five counties with the TTW program and is looking forward to further expansion and growth.

Furthermore, We Care Arts is excited to announce a separate grant from Brighter Tomorrow, which will be used to purchase three bariatric chairs and a draftsman board for the visually impaired. These chairs and the draftsman board will ensure that our facilities are comfortable and accessible to all participants, demonstrating our commitment to inclusivity and accommodating the diverse needs of our students.

"We are incredibly thankful to the Tipp City Foundation and Brighter Tomorrow for their continued support," said Katie Neubert, Executive Director of We Care Arts. "These grants are essential in helping us provide quality education and resources to the students in the Transition To Work program and to the artist-clients taking classes at We Care Arts, empowering them to achieve their fullest potential."

We Care Arts is dedicated to transforming lives through art and community, and the support from these generous grants will help us continue to make a difference. For more information about our programs and how to get involved, please visit www.WeCareArts.org.
