Curator's Corner

See us at Front Street All of February including First Friday this week 2/7! 

Hi everyone, 

My name is Lacey, and I am honored to serve as the new Art Curator at We Care Arts. I’m excited to share that, for the month of February, we will be showcasing a collection of approximately 45 pieces from a diverse group of artist-clients. I’ve dedicated considerable time to framing and preparing each artwork to ensure they’re presented at their best for the gallery display at Front Street, 1001 E 2nd St, Dayton, OH 45402. 

The exhibition will be open to the public throughout February, with gallery hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Additionally, We Care Arts staff will be present for Front Street’s "First Friday" event on February 7th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and again on Saturday, February 8th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We look forward to welcoming you to the gallery and sharing these incredible works of art! 

In preparation for the Gala auction, I’ve been collaborating with several local framing partners to enhance the presentation of our "Together We Care" artwork. We’ve worked closely with Custom Frame Services on Wayne Avenue, House of 10,000 Picture Frames on Wilmington Pike, and Dayton Art Solutions on Far Hills Avenue. I would also like to extend my gratitude to Bob, Tom, and Bill in our woodshop for their invaluable assistance with framing and preparations for the Gala. 

If you’ve stopped by our Berkley Center gift shop here at, We Care Arts, you may have noticed some changes. With help from Bob, I’ve removed half of the cabinets and shelves to create more gallery space. Right now, I’m using this space to showcase some of our “Together We Care” artwork. In the future, I hope to use this area to further highlight the work of all our artist-clients—whether the pieces are for sale or not for sale.
