April's Creative Expressions

Hello everyone!

I’m Lacey, the Art Curator at We Care Arts, and I’m thrilled to share some exciting

updates for April.

Our classes have been busy creating beautiful fascinators and fans, which will be sold

at our Evening at the Races event on April 25th. I’m really looking forward to this event

and can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing pigs and horses our talented staff have

been working on. It's going to be a fun and festive evening!

In addition, I’ve been updating the gallery hallway and various spaces around our

Berkley campus with fresh, spring-inspired art. It’s been a great opportunity to bring a

new energy to the space. I’ve also been collaborating with our job coach, Jen, to update

our inventory and bring more artwork into our gift shops. Be sure to stop by our gift shop

in Town& Country to check it out!

We’re also honored to have our art featured as centerpieces at the Office of Disability

Services upcoming scholarship banquet. Attendees will have the chance to purchase

these pieces, with all proceeds benefiting the scholarship fund.

Our Production Class is putting the final touches on the medals for the upcoming Run

for Lily charity 5k Run/Walk. This event, taking place on Sunday, April 13th, at 10 a.m.

at Fairborn Community Park, is being held in memory of Lily, who tragically lost her life

in a car accident in December 2022. All proceeds from the race will go toward

supporting Lily’s scholarship fund. If you’re interested in participating, you can sign up

here: Run for Lily Registration.

Thank you for reading!
