Volunteer Opportunity: Client Helper
Position Responsibilities
- Assists clients in creating various craft projects
- Assist clients in following directions
- Attend classes by We Care Arts to learn of new projects or programs
- Help teachers get out supplies and set up the work stations
- Organize materials at clean up time and help prepare for the next day
- Fill out client paperwork for those that need assistance
- Learn how to paint and do detail work on client projects
- Help varnish and assemble finished projects
- Dedicated to We Care Arts’ mission
Requirements
- Ability to patiently work with clients whom have mental and physical disabilities
- Ability to learn about new projects and programs and later teach and assist clients in such projects or programs
- Ability and willingness to meet the time commitment made to We Care Arts
- Signing of volunteer waiver must be completed before any volunteer hours can be logged
- Ability and willingness to arrive 15 minutes before your shift starts
