Visiting Artist with Abbey Cyester
Recently, Abbey Cyster, conducted a Visiting Artist class that focuses on the healing power of creating art. The objective of the project was to create 3 calming, meaningful abstract designs while learning and practicing mindfulness. Art goals included practicing mindfulness while making art, enhancing creativity outlets, and going with the flow. The class also discussed the Triangle of Mindfulness and the Seven Pillars of Mindfulness. The day’s exercise included breathing and stretching exercises. Overall, the class aimed to transform physical, developmental, and mental challenges into a future rich with possibilities through the healing power of art.
