Dreams into Actions

Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr for standing up for what he believed in and fighting for those who did not have a voice. Every day, at We Care Arts, we strive to stand up and empower individuals from all walks of life, going through the many challenges that life gives. Through art we aspire to spark creativity in all populations of people.

Our teacher, Leesa inspired Miracle Clubhouse members last Friday to use their creativity and focus on what is important to them. In honor of MLK, Jr, and his “I have a dream” speech, they created “Dream boxes” using magazines and various art supplies. Leesa inspired them to envision their own dreams by turning them into something they can keep as a reminder.

We Care Arts partners with the Miami Valley Goodwill Easter Seals, Miracle Clubhouse to promote mental wellness in their program, increasing empowerment and self-improvement in participants.

We hope that you all will enjoy some photos of how we celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr day below:

We just loved how the dream boxes turned out. Let us know what you think!
