We Care Arts proactively creates opportunities for individuals to be seen for their creativity and what they bring to our community instead of just their diagnosis.

Sustainability for Growth: Proceeds from the kits create a secondary revenue stream, helping We Care Arts a 501c3 nonprofit remain sustainable and expand its impact across our community.

Even students who are not really into arts and crafts have enjoyed participating in this program. The hits this fall were the clay pumpkins, the yarn coasters, and yarn turtles. We are getting ready to complete the 2 Christmas ornaments this week! We can't wait to put them on our class tree!

-Xenia High School, Karen Whitaker

I've had several students in the past few years that have gone through the program. What I appreciate the most is that they take each student at their level and work with them. It's so nice to see the transformation from my former high school students to young adults.

-Ponitz High School, Donnica Jabari

The kits are fantastic. We order 20 in case we get new students during the term, and the kids love taking the extra kits home (we have already done them together) to do on their own. Many times multiple students are interested so we have to "raffle" them off! I am sure a great deal of time and effort goes into creating the videos and assembling all of the materials for the kits/gathering kits for each school. Please know that our Belmont students appreciate you! :)

-Belmont High School, Theresa Green

My students really enjoy these art projects! They look forward to receiving their individual bags and are excited to try new projects each season! The activities and videos included reach all levels of students in my classroom! Thank you!

-Yellow Springs High School, Ashlee Mischler

Activities are fun and the students are very engaged. All are proud of what they create. We also use these activities to help with skills such as following verbal instructions and problem solving and to encourage students to think outside of the box while being more independent.
