Our Mission
Testimonials
I used to come to We Care Arts very often. They told me I could come as often as I wanted to and I was here nearly every day because I felt that I was a part of the family. There is so much love here.
It’s a fun place to be. If I was at home all the time, I don’t know what I would do. I love being with my friends here.
I like being here because we all need each other. We are all different, but we understand one another and we help each other.
I love We Care Arts because I learn something new every day and it is like a family.
I never felt as much self-esteem or value in my life before coming to We Care Arts. Here, I feel supported, needed loved, and happier than I have ever been.
The people here make work feel like a family gathering. At We Care Arts, you can leave everything weighing you down at the door, and do art with your friends (no matter how bad you are at art, which I am). I’ve learned the importance of being open and accepting towards others, as everyone has their own story and struggle. It was really special to be a part of such a cool community and to learn so much from amazing people every day. I feel like the luckiest intern in the world!
I learned of We Care Arts through a volunteer opportunity with the Junior League of Dayton and was eventually brought on as a consultant assisting the organization in various areas. I can honestly say that I have gone home smiling every single day. I love seeing the success of the clients, hearing their chatter and frequent laughter, and occasionally, witnessing a spontaneous dance party. We Care Arts is an environment of acceptance, encouragement, and making positive new friendships. I feel truly blessed to have been introduced to this organization, the staff, and its wonderful artists.
